Digital Learning Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the effective, safe, and responsible use of digital tools and platforms to enhance student learning, foster 21st-century skills, and support individualized education pathways. This policy outlines the guidelines for the use of technology at Moon Gardens International School (MGIS) for academic purposes.
Digital Learning Platforms
MGIS uses its digital platform as the official school platform to:
• Send notifications and announcements to students and parents.
• Provide digital assignments, assessments, and quizzes.
• Share question banks, videos, and other educational materials.
• Conduct certain specialized virtual classes.
• Monitor student progress through integration with assessment data.
. Personalized Digital Learning
• Student MAP Test results will be analyzed alongside school evaluations to identify learning needs.
• Selected students will receive targeted virtual sessions aimed at raising their academic level.
• Platforms such as Khan Academy and other approved e-learning tools will be used for enrichment and remediation.
Use of Technology in Class
• Mobile phones are not permitted for use during class sessions.
• Students may use laptops, iPads, or tablets for:
o Research purposes.
o Completing digital tasks or assignments.
o Accessing learning platforms and approved applications.
• Computer labs are available for students who require additional resources or do not have personal devices during school hours.
. STEAM and AI Integration
• MGIS offers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) sessions from Grade 1 to Grade 9.
• All students are encouraged to engage with Artificial Intelligence tools in a safe, ethical, and educational manner.
• Teachers will provide guidance on responsible AI usage to promote creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
